Week 7 😁MEMORY LEARNING

By:encik md kail @ ikhwan bin md nor

Timbalan ketua pegawai psikologi

A general description that gives the most important facts
Understanding memory process
Memory strategies
Understanding concentration
Strategies for improving concentration
Reading/study system (SQ3R)
Detail
     Human have common sense
The size of the human brain is three time than size of gorilla brain
Memory

What is in the human brain
-          Our brain deal with hundreds of data for any time
-          The brain give a message data with speeds up to 250km per hour, through a series of trillion cells
-          In a state of conscious brain can produce 25 watt electric power which is enough to turn on a light bulbsome humans only use 3%, 97% again stored on the right parts of the brain are not aware
The power of mind 1: Mind Setting
Left brain we strive to read colour, but our right brain fixed read writings

Ur brain have two parts, the left hemisphere and the right hemisohere. Correspondingly difference function

Memory VS Brain

Memory is the ability of individual to store, maintain and remember something information (computer software)
Brain is an organ (computer hardware)

Relevance of brain and memory
The analogy is like a computer
-Encoding / input (computer - keyboard, camera)
                                (human - the 5 senses(ears,mouth,nose,skin,eyes)
-Storage (computer – hard disk, thumb drive)
                (human – 3 types of memory – SM,STM,LTM)
-Retrieval/output (computer – computer screen,printer)
                                (human – talking,writing)

MEMORY SYSTEM
Sensory memory(SM)

Memory associated with the storage of temporary information brought by the senses
Temporary
Should pay attention that information will be processed in short-term memory (STM)
If you do not pay attention that information will be lost immediately

Short-term memory(STM)
STM is process that allow the information received and stored within a short period from 30 second up to 24 hours
Some information in short term memory system will enter into long-term memory system if given concentration and repeat again
The information is still stored in short-term memory system will be lost

Long-term memory
LTM is memory against an information in a long period.Any information stored in this system was to remain until the end of the life of someone but depends on the force ability one has to recallthe information from the warehouse of memory
Recall
The weakness to recall information stored in long-term memory is synonymous with the word “forgot”

SQ3R : SURVEY-QUESTION-READ-RECITE-REVIEW
Survey
Create review for envisaged a whole chapter to read.
Topics , subtopics , introduction , graphs , charts , pictures or summary of the topics
Read
>Read the paragraphs for information
>Then, find answers from questions that have been constructed or formed.
> It helps student focus while reading
Recite
~ Shorten paragraphs
~ Make a simple note and try to remember
~ Remember and memorize
Review
-         Revesion
-         See note again and be sure to remember the content
-         Try to remember back questions and try to answer
Notes concise and clear save in long-term memory

Thanks to all who are willing to read my blog.HOpe to be able to meet in the future..bye..☺☺☺☺
